Success journal 1193: weekend with the kids

It's been a fulfilling weekend. I got two days off straight, and Jenny is away for riding. 

I get to spend time with the kids. 

Brought Jayden to the rugby SCC competition and attended Eddie and Henry's farewell. 

They are leaving Singapore for good and going to Colorado. 

Grateful that Eddie chatted with me. Garrett's burger and football with the kids. It was Lovely 

I also spent a good amount of time with my kids on the playground, playing soccer. 

Sunday I brought Jayden to rugby training and right after we caught up with grand aunty Michelle in Orchard. 

After that I took a nap with my kids together. After meal we then go to Changi to fetch Jenny. 

Success journal 1192: Bunnies and badminton

Jenny brought the whole team to Malacca for a horse riding weekend. 

I am tasked with caring for the bunnies. 

I also attended the Singapore Open semi-final and final. The final was with Kok Tien. 

Good to spend some time with old mate. Is like revisiting old wine. 😂 

Success journal 1191: Precious time with family

It was a short weekend, grateful that Jayden got 1st in his 1st solo competition organised by an Australian organiser. 

I went straight to watch him right after work. After the performance on Saturday. We then have dinner together with the kids and parents

Went for a 3hour badminton session

Met up with Jenny's friends for dinner

What a fruitful Sunday, I am grateful

Woke up at 0630hrs, got ready and brought Jayden to the rugby session. ..connect with the parents and learn more about the Singapore education system. 

One particular parent shares about DSA. His eldest is currently taking 7 enrichment classes: 2 Chinese, online math, robotics, swimming, piano, and English. 

He will be taking the PSLE next year. Grateful that he shared so much with me. 

After rugby, we brought Jayden for breakfast, we had McDonald's in Toa Payoh, not the best, but it's just a comfortable hangout place around the area. 

After breakfast, I sent Jayden home and went to Tanyu to have lunch with Notts. It was to celebrate Irini's birthday. 

I left sharp at 1330hrs and went for my badminton session. It was a solid 2 hours of bonding and badminton sessions with my kaki. It was a great session. 

After badminton, I went home for a shower and went to Taka to support Jayden's Beyblade X competition. He got 4th.

After Beyblade. We had a meal together at Crystal Jade Hong Kong Kitchen in Ngee Ann. The meal was great, but the portion was just a bit small. 

After our meal, we bid goodbye to Gerda and went shopping in Orchard. After our shopping, we sat down at Paris Baguette for cake and tea to debrief the day. Jenny got 61.895 in her riding for the 1.3 category. 

We then travelled back home, and I went to sleep after reading a bit. Thankful for such a fruitful Sunday. 

Success Journal 1189: Weekend with family in HK, rugby is bonding my family

Took 2 days off to bring Jayden to his Hong Kong HKFC rugby competition #worldsbest10s

He played for TRC and it brought the whole family together. Grateful that we got this opportunity.

Success journal 1188: Work is consuming myself

Work pressure is building up, especially when my colleague is leaving. It is painful and have to pick up the work load. 

Success journal 1187: Legoland weekend with Gerda and Alexander

After my Friday work, I crossed the straits of Johor on foot. Left work at 6pm, reached JB at 8pm, and mid alley, South Key, at 830pm. 

I gathered with my family, and we took a taxi to our Airbnb. Affinity residence next to Legoland. 

We got a 2-bedroom and 2-toilet Airbnb for about RM300 per night. The kids loved it. 

On day 1, we had a quick breakfast at home and walked to Legoland Water Park. The kids love it. We played until 4pm. Went back home to rest and get ready for our dinner. We had Korean cuisine at Jenny's restaurant near Bukit Indah. 

After our meal, we did a foot massage. The place has a TV, so the kids are entertained too. 

Day 2 Sunday, 

We woke up late, then drove to the attic. The food was good, and the service was so-so. After that, we went to Aeon Terbrau for go-karts. We spent the whole afternoon there and took the private hire back to JB. 

We left AEON at about 1930hrs and reached around 9pm. The to-and-fro transport cost us SGD260. 

Success journal 1186: Disney adventure weekend with family and friends

It was the talk of the town during the 1st few voyages. We boarded the cruise from Singapore on Friday afternoon and ended on Monday morning. The cruise is to nowhere, and it costs 2600 for a family of 4. 

It's Jayden's and Jacob's school holidays.

Great food and great entertainment. I love the show; remember, and Elsa can sign really well. 

Jayden liked the water slide, and Jacob loved the drawings and movies. We got on board with Jayden's ex-classmate in st James. Mira and her family. They had a great time together. 

I enjoyed the time spent with my family, and it was also a celebration of our 10th anniversary. 

Grateful and not an easy road.

Success journal 1185: Back pain MC3 days

Been on MC for 3 solid days, spent a good time with my kids and Jenny 

These days are required to maintain relationships and bond with my kids 

Also required for my body to recover from all the stress. Thanks to my team for being so supportive. 

Grateful. 

Success journal 1184: Work is consuming me again

Ever since my SPM introduced a meeting at 6pm. I have to stayed back until 9pm. 3 times a week.

This is taking out my family time 

Success journal 1183: short and intense weekend with 2 kids while Jenny away

It has been a while since I get to spend time with my kids. Get to spend time with them fully. 

Brought Jayden to rugby on Sunday morning, sally brought JJ to gymnastics class. 

Had a good conversation with Noah's dad, about how he juggles 3 kids for rugby. 

After a short conversation, head to the nearby mall for a short breakfast. Jayden bumped his head. Head coach Garrett brought him to the medic to check in case of concussion. Jayden is a strong boy. 

After rugby, Jayden and I headed to toa payoh, I did my hair treatment in two herbs for 38. After my two herbs session, we then go Novena for our KFC lunch. Spent about 40 for a meal of 4. Is not cheap to feed a family now. 

After our lunch, we took a short nap. I slept with JJ. 

After our nap, I did English with Jayden, and we then brought our sports gears to the playground to do badminton. 

After badminton we went for ice cream in burnt cones. As they are doing ACS founders' day promotion. Loved their pistachio flavours. 

After ice cream, we went home and Jayden did his science. After our science past paper we then had our dinner and continued with piano and dancing. Bless him for the hardwork. 

Jenny reached Singapore from her riding trip in JB. I went out to fetch her from novena food centre. We had a great talk and ended the day. 

Success journal 1182: Returning to routine, post cny

Controlling my diet, exercise, badminton 2 or 3 times a week. Getting my time back for myself is critical

Jenny and I went to see a house  about 1.3m, she is interested to buy. As our investment in Australia is stabilising. 

I am grateful we are stabilising now. 

My helper sally needs to be healthy too.

They touched down last Saturday, I went to airport to fetch them. Spent a good time with them to catch up. 

Good to have parents around

They have been showering me with love and joy

My dad has been a muji fans, brought them to Muji for a meal.

It was a great weekend with the family, despite Jayden's  team didn't win any silverware back home. 

Some teams become stronger

I took a bus from boon lay Friday night 1845hrs, starmart express. Not bad. And reach KL South station around 0110hrs

Took a grab and reach hotel around 0130hrs.

Woke up the next day around 0600hrs, had breakfast with Jenny and Jayden and we headed to the pitch in Bukit Kiara equestrian club. 

Sunday we took a 1910hrs flight back home

My wife arrange couple spa yesterday, but due to work arrangement I had to cancel it. She went the couple spa herself. Poor her. 

She also arranged all the family matters and has to ensure all this family matters herself.

Success journal 1165: 2026 fishing and kayaking trip, Shaun wedding KK trip

Grateful that, I get to have the energy, time and money to do all these trips. 

Kk trip has been great. Mainly is to catch-up with my family. Get to connect with the Hung hung family, Peter's, ah man and guan eng and my aunties like Jo, Sharon, ping, Michelle etc. 

Of course most importantly is to connect with my brother and parents. 

In general, people are concerned with my weight which I have to take it seriously and to stay healthy. 

Success journal 1164: it has been a while, Jayden got eagles award, 5% gain for the year

As the year is coming to an end. This year has been a good year to me. 

I got lucky draw 1st prize in D&D
