Geotech~

Geotech is a study about soil, where we have to make sure the soil do not fail..
Among all the subject that i have studied, geotech is one of the subjects that draw most of my attention, i would say maybe is because my lecturer(i think he loves the soil more than his life) and i was given a chance to learn something in my uncle's geotechnical consultant firm in KK during the summer breaks

My lecturer mention this yesterday
"as a architect, they are proud of their modern outlook of their buildings;

as a structure engineers, they are proud of their massive steels around supporting the building;

but as as geotech engineer, all our things are burried under the soil! where you could not really show it to anybody in the future"
A small jokes in our class!!

My lecturer also claimed that alot of his friends are waiting for his 1st badge students, i am proud of it, haha. but seriously, he is one of the most dedicated lecturer that i have met, he seems that time is always not enough and he got too much to tell us in a short period of time...

Sport weeked!!

I have met alot of new friends during this sports weeks, i mean tons of them, as i have joined the swimming relay, volleyball competition with the chemical engineering(the imported me, as civil do not have their own team). but anyway, i have lose both games, but i really gained tons of friends out there!! just in one week. i am happy about that, losing a few games but met some new friends today.. (kenny,Yb,Ali, Shuram,helmi,daniel) i write their names here incase i forget in the future!

Besides, i wan to thank those people who helped out in the badminton.. i really appreciate it
A big thanks to all of you!i wonder how my life would be without you guys around!!
Definitely won't be that interesting!!Haha..

This is just a wonderful sport week for me!!
3 more weeks to exam~~Looking forward to it as after exam there will be no coursework, for 4 months!!

Who are the bullies?

Who are the bullies?
We had a badminton match, between student and staff yesterday. They rolled on the floor, hit the floor with their hands, jump as high as possible, shout as loud as possible, and behave like a 10 years old Chimpanzee to fully support and cheers their team mates..We feel irritated even just to play with them, until there is one situation when the shuttlecocks just nicely hit on the line.. In this situation, normally the linesman could judge whatever is appropriate, When the linesman judgement does not favour the staff, one of the female staff scolded us " you guys students sure help back students de lar!!".I really disappointed with them when they say things like this, there are all 30 ++ adults and still say things like this, you should have act like an adult, and not the other way round, Do you really feel proud when you go back home and tell you family that you have won't the school that you are working in it, playing with people 10, 20, 30 years old younger than you and of course not to forget to tell how you behave on the court.

The staff do not understand those linesmen who sits there for more than 5 hours daily watching that stupid white line in a stuffy badminton court, and still have to be scolded by a bunch of you guys during the game.

Take it easy my dear staff! I believe you still can play the game every year for as long as you like...Wish you could win all the game every year, with the Chimpanzee's spirit you have there..

Just nice and Too Nice

I have read a book talking about, what would happen if you simply treat people nice? Do you have people around you who behave like this? Being just nice means you feel nice while treating people nice and not you feel bad after you helped someone. Being just nice mean you could help people without too much effort. I really learn a lot of these kinds of things here. a place where I could not simply treat people nice.. People would think of you as a doormat, as they would ask more from you. I don't think would be a healthy relationship. I hate people who take things for granted, they would expect you to be what they expected, and it seems it is compulsory to fulfil their needs. I want those people to know that, hey, even people around you all treat you like king, you could not treat all people beside you like slaves, They feel that but doing this would get more attention and people's love. And the more you let them treat you like this. There more they will treat you like this. Just like bees looking for honey.

We lost in pride!!

Our group has lost for the 1st round~
but this is the happiest lost i had.. my partner is someone i never play with. but i am happy to meet a guy in this moment! we really tried our best.. and we had a guy who willing to be our sacrifice lamb for us... because there is one opponent(state player) we sure lose de..so we plan to just walk over the men's single.. and concentrate in other game.. but this guy.. i dun really remember his name, he stay back and say he wan to play the full game,!! although he lost in about 10 minutes~i admire his spirit!! he really teach me a lesson that game is not about winning~~ is about how you enjoy the game, and what you get from a game~~
Another reason is, my darling and her sister come all over the place just to tapau food for the whole group.. and of course to support my game~Of course, most of my coursemate envy me lar..

Tired and exhausted!!

Thx you all the linesmen and umpire!! you don't know how much i appreciate you guys!! sitting there on a chair for about 5++ hours is not an easy task, you guys have supported this club with no question ask... Thx You!!

Louis Vuitton (A brand to die for)

Luxurious Brand!!

During my visit to ShenZhen, our family was on tour with a super rich guy who took his entire family together with him. They were super rich, and of course going tour with them let me learn alot of things too. i found out that their children starting from as young as 11 years old to about secondary school old, they have at least one Genuine Lv product with them. I wonder if the Lv bags would have designed a pockets for PSP(Playstation Portable) , I mean what the heck is wrong with them!! how on earth the kids could know the value of that small (Lv) hand bag going to cost people out there(people in Malaysia).. And how about other brand like hello kitty, mickey mouse, kikoo that suppose for kids!!

But what makes me feel funny is that, by the time we reach shenzhen, most of the china people would carry one of these Counterfeited Lv bag~ I feel bad for people who are using the genuine LV there..The world is different in China~~

If you are a fans of LV, please dun take it with you in china.. you will feel downgraded.
ridiculous isn't it!!

Insomnia

If you guys could notice the time of my last 2 post, are all around 6 in morning~ this is not i wake up early in the morning, is because i could not close my eye properly when i am on bed.

Is this because of the coming hectics life that i am worry about?Or maybe because of the coming sport week, where things might go wrong. As we are the event manager and also competitors.. Things would get very messy as our organizer seems to be ignorant and they do things on the very last minutes, i mean very last minute..For example, the draw lots, we haven do any draw lots yet, while some of them do not know who is competing for what events. and i think everything will be decided on spot. Means, you just come to the sport complex and join whatever you could find there to play.. from swimming, basketball, volleyball, futsal and all stuff.. during that day, it would seems to be like in an amusement park, where we could ride on things we want to play. Compare the to my Secondary sport Meet, This is way too bad!! i am sorry that i compared.. and the time given is insufficient for a good sport meet to be properly organize. And of course, i bet the organizer will not take the responsible for all this mess, and our club will have to take all the consequences. Hope this would not be an issue during that sport week..

People who procrastinate=Stunt Crew

Imagine that is your job to cross a plank on a floor, one foot wide, 30 feet long, the plank is lying on the ground. it wouldn't be too difficult, would it? you have all the skill to deal with the task.

imagine the plank runs between two houses at a height of 100 feet above the street and you are asked to walk across. One small mistake would be disastrous.

Imagine again ,, the plank is situated at a dizzying height. but this time the house on your side is on fire. you can save your life by crossing the plank ASAP, without any room for errors anymore!!

When we Procrastinate, we change a simple task into a Stunt!!
That is why i am a Stunt Crew!!

Ma te ma tik ~(Maths)

Maths in malay is harder than in other languages~ before we start to do any math here, I want you guys to understand how numbers are pronounced in malay.

One= Sa tu
Two= Du a
Three= Ti ga
.
.
Ten= Se pu luh

Pronouncing the number 10 in malay would take you extra 3 times more compare to English. Imagine the malay kids to learn math when they are young, they need to work three times harder than other kids to archieve the same result.
For example “1+1”
In malay
“Sa tu” “tam bah” “Sa tu” would take you a 2 second of short term memory.
In English
“One plus One” would take you a merely 1 seconds of short term memory.

Imagine when we do a series of math in malay. We would need to take up a lot of memory before the math is actually being counted.

Dilemma, 3 or 4 years~

I am thinking about what I should do in the future as my brother told me that he is not going to take over my dad’s business. My dad could not just end the business like that, as ending the business would cost us alot. I can feel the responsible to take over the business is on me; this would directly affect me whether I would continue my study to Meng (Master in engineering, 4 years) or not (3 years). If I choose Meng I would need to spend extra 30k and one more year but that one more year could enable me to put a sign on a silly corrupted contract (most of the project in Malaysia are corrupted). Although without that one year(3 years), I still can work as engineer, is just i cannot put a sign on a contract.
I am wondering if I could save that 4th year that I am going to spend and start learning with my dad as soon as possible!

In dilemma~

Badminton~

Badminton, I start to take badminton seriously when I am in Unim (University Nottingham in Malaysia). I joined some of the group competition and meet up a lot of friendly people during the game, we got 1st for the group event as we have some of the top female player (bernadette and Chai Ann) in my group. And from that time onwards, I start to go training, and spend a lot of time doing research about ways to improve your techniques in the internet, watch tons of badminton matches. Besides, I start to take badminton coaching session too, but I have quit the coaching lately, as the time would not allow me to do so, and my body could not really take it. But anyway, I would like to thank my housemate(Bona) who supported me to play badminton often and I do regret to take this sport seriously until I am 20++. It seems to be too late for me to go any further (taking training) in this sport, but I will continue to play badminton for fun.
But badminton gave me a lot of sweet memories, and I have met a lot of friends thru badminton. Besides my course mate, I know others thru badminton;

That is so true~~

You may be overwhelmed with fears about moving into the future, for you sense that circumstances will change quickly now and you won't be able to slow the pace. Your insecurities could be stimulated by a powerful person who attempts to control you. Be courageous and stand up to coercion instead of acquiescing.
By
Rick Levine from google horoscope!!

this is so true, i am tired of being control all the time. and i have to step up for my own now. i know i have to move forward to the future and there are people out there who are attempting to control my everyday life all the time. somebody just want me to behave what they want me to be.Please let me live the life i wanted to live always...

Anyway, i wish this would be a fullfiling weekend, as we got 2 days holidays to go , i wish i could use it to the most of it.

That is the resolution for my weekend!!

Good Rest

i started the day with a lovely doughnut from my housemate(Pohyee), the doughnut is wonderful, and i really did enjoy it! After one hour of class, my coursemate took out a birthday cake to celebrate my coursemate's birthday, and we spend about 15 minutes to share and eat the cakes, the cakes + doughnut= super full for the whole day..
after the class i went for hydraulic class, after the class, my lecturer ask me to see him in the office, so i told him that i will meet him around 4 o clock, as i got badminton meeting at one o clock and stucture lab at 2 o clock. during the one hour break, due to the heavy breakfast i had, i could not eat much for lunch.
after my lunch ,i went to optic lab for my lab . and i am worrying about how am i going to talk with my lecturer after that, therefore, i don't really concentrate on what is happening inside the lab. But when we are in lab, we most get alot of laughter and is quite relax doing structure lab, as the member we got per group is more than enough, as Too many cooks spoil the broth!! so i would stay beside helping to monitor the whole process!!

After i finish my lab, this is when i get more nervous, but i pretend to be relax all the time. and i walk into my lecturer's room . walking into his room seems to be the hardest route to take in the Uni for me, this is the 1st time i was called to meet a lecturer for this. Is about the coursework he gave us, as we got the solution, therefore all the answer i get is correct.. and the main problem is, the whole class got all the answer correctly..this problem is quite serious for the faculty and i know that this is also hard for him, as how is he going to tell the school that, we got a wonderful batch of student who could answer all those pHD question correctly!!I know is serious, and i know is wrong.. but we really had a heart to heart talk there!! seems he is a great listeners!!that is the difference when u deal with people with knowledge and those without.. after the talk, i seems to feel better than before, at least he really understands me. But i still wonder how is he going to decide!!

A picture of Reinier BOUWMEESTER
I had a terrible conversation with dorothy on the phone, some of the details are better left unsaid!!

I need a good rest!! i still have class tomorrow morning, and now is 2:30 am..i am tired, but somehow my body just doesn't let me..

Semenyih~

Semenyih, a place i am living now,there is nothing here, nothing at all beside lovely friends, great enviroment, wonderful Campus,i mean most of you guys woould think why would we study in one of those remote area in Selangor, as there are no clubs, no shopping complex, no luxurious restaurant.

Semenyih, a place where i

Zhe ling~~

This is what i did yesterday, spending about 3 hours learning how to play the chinese yoyo(similar to yoyo) and i only know some basic skill~~
I miss the time when i was still in my secondary school, where all of the students there were compulsory to learn this.. and i found out that people in the peninsular malaysia, they seldom play this. even saw this thing too.
Is easy to learn, but hard to master.

When you are too Perfect, You become boring~~

Looking for perfection all the time? Why would we do this in our everyday life?i do think that launching a rocket to a moon would need perfection, but living in our everyday life, mistake is just a wonderful tools to be a better person.

Instead of being a perfect person , i would prefer to be remarkable person. I feel better to be with ppl with flaws instead of people who tries to be perfect all the time~ And be a perfect person would definitely drain your energy. Is a lose-lose situation~

Relax, and enjoy life~

Admit your Mistake but not your weakness!

I remember Donald trump mentioned about never admit your weakness in front of your boss, let him realise your weakness by himself. Admiting your Weakness would give him a hint on focusing your weakness, and not what you can archieved.admitting your weakness would not help much in the situation, instead of tryinog as hard as possible to solve the problem would be a better option indeed.
I do think this is very right in the reality, as when i watched America's Next Top Model short clip talking about admiting that she is nervous in front of the judge, and in the end of the episode. she was out!!

Admitting weakness and Admitting mistake is 2 different things, One is u mention what you are not good at in the begining. and the other is you responsible for what you have done.

Admit your Mistake but not your weakness!

I love to watch you play

"I love to watch you play" I felt Happy, when i hear this from someone who was there in the badminton court!!
A simple words like this could really make people happy for at least one week..
This phrase had motivated me to start badminton again,
More Excersice, Diet Control, sufficient sleep and drink tons of water daily routine is coming back again~~
Work Harder!!

Adapting virtual life

Since i have joined facebook, the time i spent inside this virtual world is increased tremendously, i just living inside this virtual world, i won't say i am addicted, because i am trying hard to live as good as possible in this virtual world. where people can listen to what i really mean, and i can be the real me. is just comfortable.

I've watched flood yesterday and that movie is just not up to my expectation, the movie is similar armageddon. I found out how those engineers are put under pressure, and they are blamed for not precisely predict the storm coming..For those who never actually experience flood before, i encourage u guys to watch that movie, as the movie could explain how flood affects people.That is all for the review, i don't want to be a movie spoiler. :)

about myself today,i am exhausted today, 4 hours straight lecturers, one hour break , then another 2 hours. i cannot stand a 6 hours lecturers per day anymore, all i can do is i record what the lectures said , and listen when i am free in the weekend.

Our math's lecturer let us watch a short clip about how things are normal distributed. This is what happens when we were force to make Yes and No decision alot of timeshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDIyAOBa_yU The sand is poured inside the tube, the sand can choose left or right, sometimes left, sometimes right, but they would end up the most in the middle of the tube. This is just amazing that something that random could end up neat.

I attended the chinese cultural society's meeting today,eventually i was not suppose to attend the meeting as i am just a normal member and the meeting is for committee only, but since i am a good friend of the president and some of the committee, i was invited to attend the meetings, haha.
We share our opinions on how to organize coming events, and how to recruit more members in our University, alot of silly ideas were discussed during the meeting and our imagination just went wild!!
i really enjoy that meeting as the meeting is conducted in chinese, our mother tongue!!That is all for today, enjoy~
