Success journal 991: family trip to UAE

Just got back from a 7-day self-drive trip in UAE. 

Been having a good time with my family. Bonding and making memories 

Success journal 990: Grateful with family support

School holiday is a period for us to have a breather, especially for my kids. 

I am grateful that they know I am working hard and deserve badminton sessions for myself.

I get to do it twice per week. 

Success Journal 989: Family 1st

2nd post. Came home for the family. Spent time with Jenny and had dinner together. 

Back to work after family time. 

I also missed my bus in the morning, so I got to spend another 8 min with Jenny 

All these little minutes counts 

Success journal 988: Family 1st

Yesterday received a call from Jenny, asking me to cancel my badminton and come home. Without 2nd thought, I cancelled my badminton session and planned to go home. Upon reaching home, then I noticed it was our dumpling festival. 

Had dinner myself, and a dumpling

Spent the night with Jenny, Netflix and chill. Bonding with her. I am grateful for the time spent with her. 

The morning, we got ready together, and I followed her and Jayden to the aft Andrew Road bus stop. 

Success journal 987: Elvis wedding, connecting with old colleagues, rest and childrens festival

I worked on Saturday, so by the time I reached home, I spent some time with JJ. Took a bath with him and went to bed to recover from a long day. 

Sunday 

Woke up At 7 am; Jayden has no rugby today. 

So we all went to JJ Gymnastics. Together with Jayden. 

Jayden gets to join in. After Jacobs's session, we took a cab to Prinsep Street for his dance session. Chatted with parents around. 

Many are very dedicated to their children's development. They want the best for them. 

After the dancing session, I attended Elvis's wedding banquet and met up with Goh, Xing Xing, Jeff and Hong kiat. Catch up with them for a while. 

After the banquet, I then went to Gardens by the Bay to meet up with Jenny and her friends with kids. The kids had a blast at the children's festival. We had dinner together at McDonald's. We then went to i-light. 

Success journal 986: Money passive income

We were talking about our investment in Manila. It was rented out for around SGD 550 per month. Minus everything off, we are getting net sgd476 per month from our sgd120k investment. 

With this, return is around 4.76 %, slightly better than our interest rates. Grateful 

Success Journal 985: Walk to the bus stop

It is so important I keep in sync with Jenny. A walk in the morning to the bus stop together is one of the most critical moments I have had.

School holiday is around, my kids are still around the house when I am back home, and they can spend more time with me as they can sleep slightly late. 

Love this period. Wish I could spend more time with them every day. I am missing out on so much

Left work around 1800hrs, got to spend time with my family at night, Netflix and chill. Love it

An important question to ask myself

What do I bring to the family? As a husband and as a father. 

Taking care of myself seems to be a big hassle already. 

Putting my health as my priority. 

Getting enough rest is very Important too 

Spending time with my kids and Jenny

Success journal 981: A splendid weekend with family

To spend time with my family on Sunday morning, I brought my family to the toast box in United Square for breakfast. 

After that, I brought my parents and Jacob to Gymnastics. I was asked to update some work 

Rushed through the work then, spend time together with them at the rail corridor. We went to a coffee house in the rail corridor at 1932. 

Then we rushed back home for lunch, aunty Michelle made the Korean pancake and Jayden liked it. I ordered xiao long bao. 

After our meal, we took a taxi to the airport. We then spent some time together in Jewel with the vortex and we then took some photos of it. 

After that we then sent my parents for departure. Scoot changed the terminal from 1 to 3. 

I hope it wasn't too hectic for them. 

We bid goodbye to aunty Michelle and we continued our journey back home. I slept for a while on the bus home. 

After reaching home, we settled down, and we did a 300-piece puzzle. 1.5hours. 

After that, we had a light dinner and went for a walk. 

After I come back from the walk, I continue with my work

Success Journal 980: Parents in SG, Singapore Open

Grateful that they made their way here to SG to accompany us 

We had a good time together, with meals and game sessions. 

I also brought my dad to the Singapore Open, the 2024 quarter-final.
