20th of January 2017 Jayden's Delivery

3 am Jenny broke her water at home, we packed our stuff and took a cab to Margaret Hospital.

We reached Margaret Hospital around 10 mins later, went straight to the delivery department. She was asked to change her clothes and I was told to get the registration done in the administration building H which is the A&E department.

After she is being verified by the doctor in charge that she had broke water. They asked her to stay in the ward for the night and asked me to go home. I packed my stuff and took a taxi back home. I reached home around 345am and went straight to sleep.

At 9 am, I followed Jenny's mum to Magaret hospital block C LG floor and I waited in the waiting room with some light meals and lunch to share with Jenny later with visiting hours from 12 to 1 p.m. She left after allowing me to sit there. Around 12 noon I went to the Labour department bringing lunch for Jenny.

With Jenny in the labour ward
After hours of labour pain, a doctor checked her status and found that she only opened at 2 to 3 degrees instead of 6 degrees at around 4 pm. Doctors informed us that is progress is no good, we may have to opt for emergency C-section. Doctor gave Jenny Pitocin which is to increase the frequency of the contractions as Jenny seems to be falling behind

At 5 pm, her mum is here to see her, I went off for my quick dinner and took a short walk in the garden in the cold weather. Closing my eyes to calm me

I went back around 7 pm, 30mins later, she is surrounded by doctors. Doctors confirmed that she will be going C-Section. Due to slow openings after induction, the General anaesthetist came in to check Jenny to confirm if she is good to do partial anaesthetic or general anaesthetic. The doctor is booking her a room already in D block, which is just opposite the ward.

I was then asked to wait in the waiting room, and jenny asked me to call her parents.

At 2130hrs, jenny was pushed into DL1 operation theatre and Jayden's was born at 2200hrs

The baby was being brought out around 2230hrs, Jenny was being pushed out from the operation theatre around 1145, just a few minutes after her mum left.

She then brought to the 1st floor together with the baby for overnight. I wasn't allowed to enter

I went home that night, feeling happy. Looking forward to the visiting hours at 12noon the next day.
