Parents visiting SG for 7 Days

As Malaysia is celebrating its Independent's Day on the 31st of August, my parents decided to utilise the long weekend holiday to visit us in SG.

Wednesday 30/8
They touched down Singapore, we met up for a dessert in Ah Chew's dessert near our place after my class in Jurong.

After our dessert session, we walked back to home after and they seem to enjoy the place.

Thursday 31/8
Is our Merdeka day, I was working that day while Jenny had a phone interview in the morning.
My parents dropped by Hearing Solution in Bras Basah branch to meet up with the staff in order to service my dad's hearing aid.

We met up for dinner in Hawker Chan in China town where Michelle also joined us for dinner.

My parents loved the Soya Chicken and disliked their Charsiew. I told them it used to be a hawker and transformed to a Michelin restaurant now.

Friday 1/9
So we took our own sweet time, I am off today and we went for a quick walk around the neighbourhood to show them Jayden's school

After a brisk walk, we then wash up and head towards the turf for a meal in Pasar Bella, we shopped around while waiting for Michelle in the place. The place is a rather family friendly place. Could easily spend half a day there.

We then sat down at a table near crispy pork and we started bringing food to the table, we had Char Siew, beer, oyster, paella( must eat) and Quesadilla. My dad loved quesadilla!

After our meal, Jenny and I took a taxi home and they continue their shopping with Aunt Michelle.

We joined them for dinner in Vivo city, we had Bornga for dinner, which is totally my number 1 Korean dinner place in Singapore.
They served one of the best Sesame glass noodles and pancakes and rather reasonable. I must say their dishes have improved significantly.

Saturday 2/9/17
We took a taxi to Albert Hall in the morning, Mum said that she wanted to buy some nuts home this time round.

We then met up Michelle in New Rong Kee, as she said my dad liked the roasted pork here. The food is good but just rather crowded and hot for Jayden. Not the best place with an infant. I still remember there is this uncle asking money and arguing with me the whole time while Jayden is crying. He nearly pushed me to my limit.

After our lunch, we then went shopping in Bugis + and also Bugis Junction. My dad bought Jayden a pair of Shoes. We took a few photos of Jayden and his new pair of shoes too.

After buying shoes, we then went to a toast box for a quick coffee, we left for home after our coffee session.

Joined them at night in Clark quay, where we had Song Fa Ba Kut Teh, I didn't know it was a 1 Michelin star restaurant now.

Queue for about 30 minutes before our turn, parents joined in half way while we were waiting. They loved the Ba Kut Teh. My dad paid for the meal.

After our meal, Michelle bought us a round of Ice Cream and we sat by the River watching the crowd or to let others watch us vice versa.

We walked from Clark Quay to Robertson Quay's Wine connection.
We had a Riesling, while Jenny had Moscato. I ordered a cheese plate
1. Marcellin
2. Tommie de Saveur
3. Goat cheese

They liked the Tommie the most, probably because it was the lightest of all. My mum hated Marcellin.

Sunday 3/9/2017
We met Michelle in Toast box in Novena Square, She bought us a big breakfast and we then walked around the mall and continued our lunch in our favourite Japanese ramen place. Oh my oh my, we have been eating like 2 meals within 3 hours span.

They continued their shopping plan somewhere, where Jenny, Jayden and I went home for a rest.
We then prepared steamboat dinner at home. Jenny bought the induction cooker for this.

We all had an enjoyable night eat steamboat together with Michelle.

Monday 4/9/17
Dad had his Hearing Aid solution appointment at 10am, I didn't join in the morning. I only joined them after Jayden taken his Lunch.

After Jayden's lunch at home, which was fed by Sally, I then brought him to Raffles City to meet up my parents. We had Tim Hoe Wan that day, didn't manage to catch the senior discount that day and Jayden was sleeping throughout our meal time.

After our meal at Tim Hoe Wan, we walked to Suntec and then millennia walk mall. We sat down in a cafe called Kith and spent our afternoon there. I booked a flight for my parents to come over again at the end of September. Grateful and happy to have them coming over to see Jayden while Jenny is not around. Dad bought me a new pair of shoes( Rockport)

We then walked from Millennia to Suntec city's toast box, gathered with Jenny after her volunteering work in SPCA. Had a light coffee before we met up with Michelle at City Hall station.
Jenny had to leave for home as she is not feeling well after eating at toast box.

We then walked towards Rendevous hotel for a Mexican meal! Mum paid for the meal! We then took a bus home that night.

Tuesday 5/9/17
Jenny brought them to IKEA with Jayden while I resumed my work, They left Singapore around 530pm.

So that is all to wrap up my parents 7-days trip here in Singapore.
