Stranger I am

Note:You have to watch The Curious case of Benjamin Button, to understand this post.
Daisy Fuller: I am Daisy. Do you still remember me ?
Benjamin Button: I am Benjamin.
(when the old Daisy Fuller found Benjamin Button when he is 5 years old.)

Although they became strangers, It was the love of their lifetime.

****

Miss D is calling me a stranger.
Sending me a clear message, just like what Daisy did to Benjamin in New York & Paris.
No matter how, Loving a stranger is an amazing experience,
Where I could not expect what to come next.
and got nothing to lose.

Isn't Love great? To bond 2 strangers together.

Love always,
Jason/Stranger

Moment of a lifetime

While we are walking around Colosseum, heading towards the ticket counter.

Ken: Ui, your mom oh. (Simply point to a group of Malaysian look alike)

Jason: Don't play ler. (Ignoring ken)

Ken: Neh, the one in the orange colour shirt.(Jokingly)

After a second look, the lady in the orange shirt is my Mom..I walk towards her and gave her a big hug. We were speechless that moment, We wasn't ready. We didn't talk much, took a picture and continue our own tour in Rome.
My stylish mom in Rome..

P.S. I love you, mom.

Delicioustaly

Milano
City of fashion, where citizen dress like a model, cat walking all over the city, showing off the brand oin their skin. Sexually attracting each other. This is Milano, a place i spent one night in. Enjoying myself immensely in a busy city with elegantly beautiful people, superbly well dressed.
Gelatoing, A friendly Italian serving us. Sweet :)

Red Beer in Mala Strana Rosa, I would say the beer was aromatically up for it.

Venice

Dining in Venice is a luxurious experience, the extravaganza ambiance Venetians created, Sea breeze constantly blowing onto our skin, refractions of the water on the buildings and laughter all over the city. No price would have taken away the surreal beauty of the moment.

Wine@ Al-Timon (highly recommended for Asian)

Meal of the day, It's a cold dish with 3 different types of fish, The white creamy stuff is a kind of cheese grind with fish. Simply irresistable.

Bellini, Venice local Beer,

Napoli
Origin of Mozarella.

Margherita in Da michele, Naples.
Fresh & Basic
The shop serves the best 19th century pizza, which exceeds in its simplicity

Pompeii

Humongous Lemon in Pompeii.
Just like the fat and juicy Bean Sprout in Ipoh.

Cheesy Meal in Hotel Room

Local Beer, Exceptionally Light & Refreshing

Italian Version of Mister Potato

Bubbling Hot Smoking pizza.

Rome

Mixed Vege rice Pasta in Rome

500g of Gelato, Pistachio is my all time favourite. Sold according to weight. So you can choose any flavour from their Gelato display cabinet. Amazing isn't it. :)

Cannolo Sicilliano, from Dagnino. A well known Restaurant in Rome.
Uberly expensive.

Italian Beer,

Italian Lager

Tasteless Waffle,

Duff.
Enjoy
I would like to dedicate this post to our food trip advisor. Serene Yeoh.

Most Valuable Gadget

It's a Oral B toothbrush, which is an essential item to me now. I would encourage you guys to get this toothbrush before you consider an iPhone, a Mac book, Xbox or a PlayStation.
I have long been a fan of manual brushing as i felt it cleaned better. After using this brush for a while, not only are my teeth whiter but I feel much more cleaner. And the money i spend to descale and polish every 6 months in Malaysia is definitely more expensive than this product.

:)

Grandma

It's about my grandma, Ever since my Grandfather past away, she had stroke 5 to 6 years ago, which left her paralysed and my grandma couldn't speaks no more. she had been sleeping for more than 5 to 6 years, living in a subconscious state. But she is she is still alive, breathing and eating through a tube in a hole in her throat, while her soul is perfectly awake, she is imprisoned inside a limp husk, perhaps able to blink, or cluck a tongue, like something from a science-fiction movie, the lady frozen inside her own flesh.

She is currently in Johor, where none of her close family is nearby. except my youngest aunt who is working in Singapore and travel back and forth every week. To keep her accompanied.

I visit my grandma once a year probably less than that. She is the best story teller that I have ever met. The way she tells the stories of her past, It's better than any documentary video available on TV. She is a good cook too. I remember she even carried me on her bicycle to a nearby market in Ipoh, and secretly buy me a keropok. Which i will finished it before we reach home.

Even though I rarely speak to her, but she is the best grandma on earth.

Perhaps she doesn't scare death any more, as death becomes a 'Halt' button for her misery.
Stay strong grandma, like you used to be.

Calm Before the storm

It's been a calm week, no intense feelings, and had good sleeps.
With 3000mg of paracetamol as painkiller, half a tube of shuttlecocks as worries, and half a pint of Beer as companions.
Brick walls are there to stop people who don't want it badly enough
(Randy Pausch, Sept 2007)

Where is my class?

This is 6th week of my semester, I still dunno where or when my class is, been skipping most of the lectures.
I don't really care about the lecture as much as i used to. Why? I dunno why, maybe because i am disappointed with my result(a mere 2:1)last semester. So now i boycott the lectures.
Just like eating, when you know how to eat with your own hand, you don't want others to spoon feed you anymore. Its boring & ridiculous, especially when the guy is feeding something you dunno into your mouth.
But of course, I doesn't skip my lectures for no reason. I am doing some research on Master degree lately.
Why Master?
Incompetent, lazy, inexperience and the market is in a turmoil.
Although i think a master could not bring me to a vantage ground here in UK, but at least in Malaysia. I suppose.
But anyway, practising engineering in Malaysia is my last options, i think because of the ethics and working culture there. They are not practising the correct altitude, most of the engineers want to become contractor. Especially those in East Malaysia as they are mostly underpay there; But of course, i still met some nice engineers in a consultant office in Sabah, they help me in my dissertation and educate me patiently.

I miss her,

I miss her smile, i still remember how she smiled to me in KKIA back in 2000. The smile which took my breath away.
Until now, I am still addicted to her charming angelic smile which could light up our KLCC.
My valentine's card didn't reach, expected but still disappointed.

Stay strong
Keep this love going.

Understanding the Venusian Language

  1. Fine: this is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up
  2. Five minutes: If she is getting dressed, this means a half an hour, five minutes is only five minutes if you have just been given five more minutes to watch the game before helping around the house
  3. Nothing: This is the calm before the storm,
  4. Go ahead: This is a dare, Not a permission, don't ever think of doing it.
  5. That is ok: It is a dangerous statements a venusian can make to a martian, you will have to pay for you mistake.
  6. Thanks: just say you are welcome. don't ask
  7. Whatever: Is a women's way of saying F**K YOU!
  8. Do i look pretty in this? : She wants some positive comment, a constructive comment would be much better.

Chap goh meh, had dinner with chai ann & ting ting.
sorry for the overly FISHSAUCED chicken i marinated. poor ann & ting, to be my experimental subject. haha.. they are the best food critics i could get, Although sometimes its abit harsh but anyway, thanks for eating.haha!
I dunno when, i have lost my talent in cooking. Probably because dorothy is pretty good in cooking(ex-housemate in Semenyih will know it quite well), to compensate my talent in cooking and to match up with her cooking, i picked up dishwashing instead, so washing up is my forte now. :)
I miss baking pizza, i miss the time while i am the cook of the day, and cheered people up with my fulfilling pizza, which the crust could hardly hold the heavily loaded topppings.
hahahha.
But too bad, here in nottingham.. we could get a pizza in less than £2, its the easiest food we could get.
should have learnt roti canai or kap piang!

browsing for travel deals lately, planning for a summer trip, places in Europe are just too romantic to travel without a her, will save those romantic places(Paris, Switzerland,) next time... (If i could :) )

My final year project consist of 8 people.
One of my group mate, has been diagnosed with Cancer.
I could understand why he is ignoring this Group project.
when u are nearly dead, u know what is important to you the most!
I am sure the group project is way down the list.

IF I am dying pretty soon,

will i still continue my Group project?
will i still believe in love?
will i still make friends?
will i still play badminton?

I couldn't tell.

I wonder how an illness/aging could change someone's life that were used to be flawless.

Serene farewell!

She is half Malaysian and Half Thai, grew up in Johor, studied in Singapore, citizen of Australia, and on an exchange scheme in Nottingham. Being nationally diversified, she is Serene.
We had things in common, badminton, food, travel, language and she actually looks like Chai Ann.
Birds of a feather flock together.

Went to fie's pent house for a quick dinners, boost and have fun for the whole night!
I was drunk at the beginning of the boosting session, and end up sleeping the rest of the night.
After that we send her off in Broad marsh Bus-station.

Hmm, we had a typical farewell drama in the bus-station, it all started with Ken.

Ken, called serene while she is just inside the bus

Shea yung was constantly worried about which terminal the bus will stops and the amount of luggage that she brought for check-in luggage  (50++kg).
Chai Ann, sending off her identical twins, seems to be confused. But i think she experienced this before in US.
Fie, sending her off as well, although they were just newly met.
me, holding my camera taking pictures for remembrance! :)
