Day 5 Spain trip Barcelona city

After our breakfast, we went for a stroll on Olympic park near the beach, for a photo stop. As what our tour guide, Tony, said.

My father and I touched went to the beach and touched the Mediterranean sea.

After the park, we took the bus to montjuic mountain, did a stroll around the park, and took a few photos.

After the park, we went to the city, and headed to Sagrada familia basilica.

Our local tour leader Anna, gave us a brief tour about the basilica, which is a bit too heavy on the details for random people like us.

After our tour, we went to La Rambla for a walk and I brought my dad to La boqueira for El Quiem.

The unpretentious hawker stall, with a yellow signage took me a while to find it. Perhaps, La boqueira is bigger than I thought. I only managed to find it after asking information center inside.

The only way I managed to identified el Quiem is basically by the crowd and also pans with squid and eggs on the table.

Upon reaching the stall, we can see people standing around the stall but there is no clear queues.

I noted, from one local gorgeous in front of me who air-kissed tattooed staff from the kitchen in the center of the stall who looked like the owner of the stall, that the queue is not obvious but the staff know whose turn it is.

We waited for about an hour until a cool staff signalled us to sit down.

Without hesitating, we took the high chairs around the bar and placed our order.

We ordered a Cava, beer, padron peppers and the main dish, baby squid fried eggs.

Their staffs were relaxed and friendly.
We spent about an hour there for our meal.

Some important conversation shared between me and my dad during the meal.

We both enjoyed the meal. We then proceed to a brief walk around the city.

We went to Casa Batlo and Casa Mila by Anthoni Gaudi.

We also witnessed a peaceful demonstration by the Catalan to be independent from Spain.

We had our dinner in Marina Bay restaurant and proceeded to the casino for the rest of the night.
