Geotech is a study about soil, where we have to make sure the soil do not fail..
Among all the subject that i have studied, geotech is one of the subjects that draw most of my attention, i would say maybe is because my lecturer(i think he loves the soil more than his life) and i was given a chance to learn something in my uncle's geotechnical consultant firm in KK during the summer breaks
My lecturer mention this yesterday
"as a architect, they are proud of their modern outlook of their buildings;
as a structure engineers, they are proud of their massive steels around supporting the building;
but as as geotech engineer, all our things are burried under the soil! where you could not really show it to anybody in the future"
A small jokes in our class!!
My lecturer also claimed that alot of his friends are waiting for his 1st badge students, i am proud of it, haha. but seriously, he is one of the most dedicated lecturer that i have met, he seems that time is always not enough and he got too much to tell us in a short period of time...
